Bel'Gomon Ruins

The Bel'Gomon Ruins is one of the many known battle sites from the war that occurred during the 200-year Rift.
Whatever disaster formed the Scar also buried much of the evidence of what happened during the Rift. Forcing those to wish to learn what happened to dig through mountains of earth and debris.
Many archeologists have researched the area of Bel'Gomon over the years since the Rift, uncovering the remains of those that fought, but left on the battlefield.
From what archeologists have uncovered, the battle of Bel'Gomon appears to be one of the later battles of the Rift, most likely happening in the last 50 years of the time period. The battle appears to have been fought between humanoids of all races (even orc and goblinoid) against other humanoids and riftforged.
One of the aspects of much debate between researchers of the Rift is - which of the sides was in the right? Traditionally orcs and goblinoids are not the friends of other humanoids. Therefore, some researchers believe that those humanoids that fought along side the, were the aggressors. However, other researchers are insistent that some humanoids created the riftforged with the intention to wipe out all others on the continent.
