Cult of Torn

The Cult of Torn, known also as the Church of Torn is a state-official religious organisation that administrates the worship and prayers of the followers of Torn, God of War, Winter and Wolves. He is said to smile upon feats of valor, strength and blood-drenched warrior skill, and is the patron of proud warriors who set themselves against the odds and emerge triumphant through strength and skill. On one side of his nature, Torn is the embodiment of honor and courage, and to those that has put his faith in Torn are just as likely to be an honorable warrior as he is a blood-crazed killer, and often times it is that he shall be both at the same time. It is also due to the warrior-code of the devotees of Torn, who believe it is the solemn right of every warrior to die an honorable death in battle with sword and axe in hand.

Public Agenda

Torns followers are renowned for their steadfastness and reliability. Slow to forgive and vengeful when crossed, yet warm and open to allies and quick to offer friends the benefit of the doubt. Their ways are short and to the point, their strictures simple and their sermons without the pretentiousness common to other cults. This combination of strength of character, practicality and simple honesty makes the Cult of Torn quite popular with the common man.

Tenets of Faith

Torn demands his followers to be aggressive and confrontational, both on and off the battlefield. They are never allowed to use trickery or deceit as a tactic and must always keep their word. Cowards are always despised by Torn.

Always obey your betters.
Defend your honor. Do not refuse challenges.
Never back down, unless ordered by a superior.
Stand honest and true. Deception and trickery are not Torn's ways, although ambushes are permitted.
You may only wear a wolf pelt if you have killed a wolf using weapons you made yourself.
