Theodora

Theodora came with Justinian the Great (and their people) true the gate on the year 0. She was 60% divine. Divine is when a god or goddess falls in love with a human, he/she will introduce divine DNA to the sperm or the ova of the mortal. When that mortal mates with their lover, the child will gain the same powers of their divine parent to a certain extent (we don’t know how people from the gate become divine). There is a chance that a child has more than one divine parent so it will gain a mixture of their powers making it a di-divine which is of course very rare. It is especially rare that a divine creature (god/goddess) would physically mate with a human instead of simply injecting their divine DNA, unless if it’s Aphrodite or Venus. When a god or goddess has physically intercourse with a human, the person is seen as the chosen one and becomes a celebrity.
Anyway, Theodora changed society. Because of her, there was gender equality in the new empire. Everyone is forced to go to school until they are 16 years old. They are taught history, Latin, Greek, philosophy, math and economics but most of their education is about becoming a soldier. Because of this men and women know how to defend themselves and as a result crime dropped with 80%. After school, the students go to a military academy for 2 years to become professional soldiers. When they finish they are free to do as they please. There are colleges where you can learn civilian jobs and the valedictorians can be invited to a military college to increase ranks. Civilians can be conscripted until they are 40 years old.
This education system applies to the average human but the ones that show potential from birth or are from a great bloodline will go to Mount Olympus to be taught by the gods and the wisest men and women of the western world. These students will have the same education as the others but more expensive, they also learn science and how to become leading figures in society like governors, generals, engineers, etc. They finish school when they become 16. They don’t need to go to a military academy because they will be taught under a graduated senior. Theodora also made sure poverty was none existed by forcing everyone to work and gain money. Most people were forced to work in the mines, the fields or the military.
