Syntax

CONJUGATIONS

Like its parent tongue Chime, Arcane does not conjugate verbs. Typically, the conjunction nis (now) will be combined with a more specific conjunction to convey at what point this happened in relation to the present, and the new word put first. Then, you would add the name or description of the entity or person performing the action to the end of the verb, forming a two-word sentence. If the verb ends in a consonant or a closed sound, that is cut to the nearest vowel or open sound. To command someone to do something or tell someone you are doing something, you would swap the noun with 'you' or 'I,' say the pronoun or noun at the beginning of the sentence, and then combine it with the verb at the end. In urgent situations or when referring to a large group, the noun or pronoun can be dropped entirely.

COMMANDS

All requests are to be presented as a command and/or request, and always as an exchange. Adjectives come before nouns, linked by a '. One's possession is also to be defined by ', as ownership is considered an adjective. Ownership is always linked directly to the noun, with adjectives coming before. (For example, 'my name' would be 'y'nomain, and 'my long name' would be 'fas'y'nomain.')

YOU & OTHER PRONOUNS

In Arcane, the pronoun you is seperated into two units: va and vha. Vha refers to the self, and can be used in the same way as a name when speaking directly to the individual. Va refers to possession of the self, or that which one possesses. Va vhu literally translates to your you.
Arcane also has no other pronouns. Individuals are to be referred to by their full name, title, and birth sign as introductions, and then name and title for their role in the spell for the duration of the conversation.
