When Plosotis was discovered in 1942, research began to see what the planet was like. Over the decades, more research increased as humans on Earth realized how much like Earth this new planet was like. By 1993, it was declared almost identical to earth. There was expansive land, water sources, mountains, etc, and there seemed to be life growing in terms of plant life. No animals or humanoid species had ever been located though couldn't be ruled out.   In 1995, it was agreed that in 2018, NASA will send up 10 humans from Earth on the 2 year long journey and land them on Plosotis. This mission was one way, and no matter what happened, those 10 humans will never return. 20 infants born in 2000 were selected for their strong genes and trained for 18 years. Only 10 made the cut, and those 10 had all the training needed to hopefully survive on this new planet.   On Feb 19, 2018, almost every human on Earth watched through media or in person as the spacecraft was sent off. Inside was enough resources to last the long journey, a large collection of seeds, a handful of common farm animals, weapons, medical supplies and everything else needed to survive. They had constant contact with Earth, and would until they land, where they'll be monitored constantly for five additional years until the communication system shut down.   They landed on Apr 2, 2020.
