Vervain

The origins of this metal is unknown, however, there are some shared ideas across the cultures of Agartha. The most prominent holding its origins from the death of one of the Titans following Aeas completion of the Mortal realm. Thulak fought against Amos for control over the continent of Lorel and fell to the Architects blade. The resulting bones formed the metal Vervain, and his blood formed the crystals of pure magic called Aetrium.
Vervain is one of the few metals known to kill monsters, but only Aetrium can grow a mages power or amplify a mortal beyond his natural means.
It has recently been discovered, that colliding the two together in the proximity of Orichalcum produces an explosive reaction. Lining a the shaft of a crossbow with Orichalcum as it guides a bolt made of both vervain and aetrium safely out of a steel chamber creates an explosion on the finding of the target.
