The Aesir; The Somnir; and the Primordials

The deities of the Veil are ancient, and dangerous even in their most benevolent moods. The Aesir are the oldest of the entities. they were created by Aea to rule Creation alongside him, and govern the Veil as it tethered the Realms together. But following Aeas slumber, some followed the Lord of Devils, Balor, without Aeas guiding hand.     The God of Gods: Aea, the creator god, the holy flame, and the Missing God. He is revered by every living race, but is mostly distant and is hardly ever felt in action.     -The Aesir and their Realms   Amos- Lord and leader of the Aesir, Patron of Mankind, and Magic, he is often called The Architect for his part in shaping the earth during creation. He is brother to Arbitus and Avaeron. It was his defeat at the hands of Avaeron that allowed Gaea to fall to the Rifts and be overrun by demons. He now protects as best he can, the nations of man.   Uldan - Patron of Kings and the Bringer of Order. Creator of the Elves and he is typically depicted as human in shape, with eyes that are entirely blue and standing just shy of eight feet in height. He is specifically the patron of the Amorian and Dracis People.   Jot- God of the Mountains and bringer of the Towers, he brings Peace and the Lord of Cold. He is mostly worshipped by the Aeosi People and the Giant Races. He carved the valleys, set the mountains, and formed all giants with Vesta.   Vesta- Lady of Love and Sexuality. Seen as a changeling, and most likely the creator of the race. Her skin in her natural form was depicted as smooth and marble white, with her eyes a light shade of lilac. Her form never ceases changing to fit the most pleasing appearance to the one viewing her.   Janus- God of Diverging Paths and Choices. He is the one who sent the Man in Black (The First Demon of Greed and the Lord of Vice) to the Hrothnir (The race before the modern ones on Agartha) took a bet with him to raise them up to the status of gods, and lost. The fate of their race is a mystery as the one man who refused to take the bet (Orphean) refuses to speak of it all these years later, and is kept alive by Janus because of his perceived victory over him, "Sometimes the best way to win a bet, is simply to not take it."   Hermea- Messenger of the Gods, God of Thieves, and Merchants.   Pythos- God of Prophecy, Art, the Sun, and Music. Always seen as a large bird with glistening blue feathers and golden eyes. Of all the gods, he is the only one to be truly benevolent. He has the second largest number of worshippers, not only because he brings comfort to them, but also because he occasionally will gift his most loyal with a vision of fortune in their dreams.   Risic- God of War and Havoc. His visage appears all over the shields of the Gotlan raiders, a charging boar with burning red eyes and razor tusks.   Luna- Goddess of the Moon and the Hunt. She is the ruler of Silverlight, she is seen as a silver wolf and praised by her chosen worshippers, the Hunters of Luna.   Cyliac- God of Sea, the Deep, and Sailors. He is depicted as a frothing, half fish- half stallion. One of the stranger depictions, but he is one deity who listens intently to his followers. Usually elves on the docks, the race he is attributed to creating, and the sailors brave enough to fish in his domain. His primary worshippers are that of the Oceani Elves.   Vildus- God of the Wild and the Hunt. The child of Sola and Fuld, he is seen as a Lycanthrope between transformation of wolf and man. He is supposedly the creator of the Ogeroid races, and their chief god.   Fuld- God of Wanderers and the Lost. Depicted as a man cloaked in black with one eye covered by a patch, mostly an unknown deity, but he prefers it this way. The worshippers of Fuld have almost all either had him help them on their paths or have met him as he travelled. He is also one of the few deities in this pantheon that has one rival he never ceases conflict with, Janus.   Resmila- God of Forbidden Knowledge, Madness, and Ruler of the Great Antiquary, the realm where all knowledge is stored.   The Three Fates- A trio of hag women, the gods of the past, present, and the yet to be.   Arbitus- God of Mischief, Forbidden Pacts, and the Lord of a small Realm known as the Cove of Thorns. He was given the Realm of Agartha by Amos following Amos being appointed their leader once the first Hromenir between all the godly realms concluded, with the two brothers as the victor.       Entities that either followed Balor in his rebellion against Amos Aesir, or otherwise received their deific power through vile means.   -The Fallen Ones   Cora- Once a man, he consumed the blood of the first Dragon, Firnog, and gained power over the Winds of Magic unrivaled, but only after descending into the Abyss did he gain the knowledge over life and death that he now has. He is still in the shape of tall, thin man with pale skin. He looks no different from when he was mortal, except for his pale blue eyes which now pierce t osee the truth of all souls, even the other gods. He was the First Necromancer, and the one who created the Dula. Now, hes taken the power of three of the Somnir that once guided souls to their intended afterlife.   Tiernan- A disciple of Typhon, and at one point his chosen. Now, he took the power of the Titan to shape the creatures known as the Rasshok, and took up Coras offer to help him usurp the Princes of the Abyss. He now oversees Helheim and all its Devils.   Shelen- The Lord of Shelesh, and the Head Demon. He sees to those who have been denied entry to their gods afterlife, and receive only an afterlife of Punishment and torment.   Balor- The Lord of the Abysss Flame, and the Original Evil. He betrayed creation, and seeks the throne of Aea himself. Once the greatest of them all, with the voice to rival all others in his cant.   Morighan- Mother of Spiders, Vampires, and Lycans. She is seen as a shapechanger, a witch with long black hair and blazing violet eyes. Her followers are almost always consumed by the power they seek, becoming another of the many spirits that haunt the world under her eyes.   Simut- Creator of Devils and Demons. A Titan Primordial entity. Depicted as either an incredibly handsome young man, or in the shape of a chimera. Both are most likely true, he is the only of the gods that can reach into the others domains and utilize their power. His worshippers or those who take him as a patron have a special place in his plans, being rewarded by transforming them into demons or devils after he feels they deserve a reward or he binds them to his will in some other manner.   Nyct- Goddess of Night and Blackness. Primordial Entity, becoming a god after The War. She is depicted as a mass of inky fumes in the shape of a demoness, consuming all light around her until nothing remains. Her domain is deepest recesses of the Abyss where nothing can be seen, and nothing can be heard.   Hastor- Titan of Secrets and Deception. One of the last of the Titans to be awake with an active, and large, cult.     The Man in Black- The Avenging Angel, the only Somnir to truly be both a created entity of Aea, and not be fallen nor be granted power through collective belief. Once he was Conner Winsomes portent, but after being liberated he serves as humanities avenging angel, but also the overseer of all human vices.     Collective understandings of concepts or overwhelming belief in a deity or monster can will them into existence in the Veil. Whether it be a nightmare of one person, or the local legend of a river deity, a demon can form, then with enough time and belief, become a god similar to the Aesir.   The Somnir:   Avaeron- The First Witch King, and Bringer of Corruption. He ruled in Dumand until his defeat at the hands of the Hero Uros, after which he was raised by the power of Chaos itself to become the emodiment of mutation, corruption, and the changing nature of Chaos.   Shin Terast- God of Nightmares and Fear, Lord of the second half of Lythos.   Hypnos- God of the Unknown and Pleasant Dreams. He is always shown as a hulking cloud of black smoke in the shape of a man. Lord of half of Lythos, the plane of Dreams.   Malghul- The fallen Aesir, and creator of the Dvartin. He is now the Lord of Disease, pestilence, and Gluttony   Lustia- Goddess of Desire and Lust unbridled.   Mammon- The Original Demon of Rage, he was chosen by Avaeron to serve in the Pantheon of Chaos and lead his legion into eras of Recreation.   Marestoc- He roams the Mist that dominates the Wildlands as it shifts around around the Titans Ridge Mountains. He is the Living Embodiment of Domination, Terror, and Raw Ambition.   Sicar- The Lady of Secrets, Betrayal, and Assassination. She is held dear by the Demi-Race of Sythni, the serpent people, who keep her as one of the great predators of their pantheon.   Fiends- Creatures created through the sheer belief of sentient beings in the Veil. These range from local folklore to shared nightmares.
  • Titans:
  • Lysthis- As old as Aea, and just as unknown. Its last creation was its daughter who serves as their voice when is needed. Any soul who dies in by the hands of its or their daughter, will be doomed to the eternal oblivion of its realm, and the same goes for any of the faithless or the followers of the void.   Typhon- He arose from the Aegeris dungeon. The most humanoid of all the Titans in shape, and yet also one of the more molluscoid of them all. He is the father of all the first monsters that stepped foot on the mortal planes, and still has a small following of cultists in humanity or in the fringes of Ogeroid civilization.   Scylla- Mother of Monsters. She sleeps in the Ithian sea between Lorel and the far Northern lands on Agartha. She feeds on flesh and magic. She appears like a moluscoid, squid-like and reptilian.   Secar- Lady of Protection, Shield of all Races, and Primordial Earth Goddess of Agartha. She is the protector of the church, and the origin of the Order of Secars name due to her legend of hunting and expelling the remaining sympathizers to Balor in Heaven.   Lorkan: Father of Vampires, and curses.   Sora and Firnog: The Father of Dragons, Bane of Mortals, and Slayer of Man, Firnog. Then his daughter Sora, Inheritor of the Skies and the Bringer of the Fires of Creation.
The Art isnt mine, it is regular DnD, but it is an appropriate way to conceptualize the Planes.
