Murann

A large town of ~25,000 inhabitants that hosts a large alchemists guild. Once the second largest port in Amn, Murann grew rich on with wealth from Matizca before falling to the forces of the Sythillisian empire.
Life under the empire continues much as before for many of the local inhabitants and losses in legitimate trade have more than been made up from lucrative profits from smuggling and piracy.
The empire currently maintains a nominal truce with Amn and Tehyr, they are now to entrenched to be easily dislodged but lack the strength or unity to expand their borders. The church of Selûne crusades relentlessly to see the city reclaimed, since they have a large temple here.
