Physica

Physica is an infinite flat plane, for certain values of infinity. It is impossible to see more than around 10 miles though, regardless of height, due to the blanket of myst that covers the world. Despite this, the inhabitants of Antruin know it has a centre- the Ether Spindle, a scar in space left after a disastrous magical experiment. In trying to bypass the dangerous inner planes, the mages of the place that would become Antruin channeled the magics of the myst to burrow through the positive energy plane. They succeeded in a way, the Ethereal plane can indeed reach the outer planes, but what came back through the opened wound in the world would lay waste to all the surrounding nations. But that was over a hundred years ago, after the Ethergenesis event powerful artefacts were discovered in the ruins and now adventuring guilds are vying to recover the most powerful for themselves. At the same time, the changes to the Inner Planes have opened up the rest of the universe for exploration and many suggest that the treasures to be found in the Outer Planes are greater than those from the Ether Spindle.
