Rotom Temple

Where mothers give birth and eggs are protected and cared for.

Purpose / Function

This is a place of celebration and ceremony. There are three wings or sections. As you enter the main doors which are ornate large carved double doors there is a reception area with crystals on the ceiling that shine and sparkle like diamonds. to the left is the hall leading into the Birth wing. it has dozens of large rooms. Each has lots of natural and artificial sunlight and a fire pit to keep her warm. a fruit tree in one corner, and a large nesting area with natural and synthetic comforts. It is designed to help the birthing mother to be as comfortable as possible. when a phoenix gives birth her internal body temperature and power control are in a state of erratic flux. a phoenixes core body temperature must be kept hot enough as the baby is draining her warmth and fire. if the mother gets too cold, both will die.   in the center is a large bubbling hot spring with smaller pools surrounding it. this is for comfort warmth and community. family and friends can hang out here when the mother wants some privacy.   the final wing on the right side is a meditation temple. mothers are encouraged to spend time here with their own mothers while contemplating life and waiting for the egg to hatch. one large hall with several individual areas (like cubicles) where each egg is inside its own incubator and the parents decorate the surrounding area with family treasures to encourage the hatching to grow and develop surrounded by love.   Armed guards patrol to ensure the safety of the hatchlings as phoenix birth rate is very low and hatchlings making to Alom stage is rare if not properly cared for in the temple in Rotom stage.

Architecture

History

Ancient history tells of a time when Phoenix Pace almost died out as there were no babies making it to mating age. after much study and research it was discovered that a great portion of that was due to the mothers and eggs not being properly cared for during and immediately after the birth. the Rotom temple was built and the problem began to resolve.
