Born to Kennedy Quick and David Heat. When he was two, he began to use his portal abilities for the first time, and his parents were devastated. His parents barely cared for him, thinking him a disappointment. They had another child, Melissa Quick, when he was six, and was neglected thereafter. He found refuge in the home of one of his friends, Elizabeth Invisible, a Shifter, and her welcoming family. They felt like his real family. Over the years, he fell in love with Elizabeth, who loved him, too, though neither of them did anything about it for fear of alienating the other. Then, shortly after The Conflict began, Elizabeth's parents took in a witch child and claimed they had adopted it. The Capital Military discovered this, and attacked their home. Elizabeth ran with the child, but her parents were caught and killed. Johnny asked around about it, and others told him what happened. He waited for Elizabeth to come to him, but she never did. He assumed she was killed and nothing told him otherwise.
Sly guy who is after the finer things in life, but ultimately feels alone, abandoned by his Enhanced family because of his Other status and lost his best friend and love of his life to The Conflict. He's known to borrow money from people.
