Lore suggestions

Julius Caesar, ghoul of Camillia, had high aspiration for power, even after becoming dictator for life, and he even had hinted at a desire to become king. By achieving this, it would have truly secured Camillia power over the Roman world. The conspiracy against Caesar by a group of large group of senators was formed over that fear of him becoming more powerful. And although the conspiracy was successful in carrying the assassination of Caesar, it was never identified which supernatural power or entity, if any, had perfectly manipulated this group.

Caesar's death in 44 BCE created a power vacuum that was quickly filled the following year, when three veteran statesmen rose to take power: Gaius Octavius, ghoul of Camillia; Marcus Antonius, ghoul of a Setite; Marcus Aemilius Lepidus, another ghoul. In the public view, they were forming a triumvirate, a special commission giving each of them practically absolute power. Authority of the Western provinces and the legions was initially divided between, as each of them campaign to resecure power of the Eastern provinces. The triumvirate was the extension of the jihad of these three powerful elder vampire to establish dominance over the known mortal world.

The true nature of Antonius's Setite master finally became clear to Camillia in 40 BCE, when Antonius formalized an alliance with Cleopatra and gifted her with full control over the province of Cyprus as a reward for her loyalty to Rome. In response to that power move, Camillia had Octavius relocate his Praetorian Guard within the pomerium, ending a long tradition by having a military unit located inside the boundaries of Rome, and thus allowing the elusive Praetorian Cohort Φ (the Night Legion) to operate closer to the senate. In 36 BCE, Lepidus' master was destroyed, and as to not upset the precarious balance of power, he was not harmed but simply forced out of the triumvirate. This left Antonius and Octavius to finally clash into a civil war in that reached its tipping point in 30 BCE.

Still left to do:
*War of Actium and Battle of Alexandria
*Octavius demeanor toward power opposite to Caesar's when approaching senate
*Seal of the Emperor (Proimperialis Sigillum) given to Night Legion centurions
