Kali's Crystal

Requires attunement by Kali.

You can use the crystal as a spellcasting focus.

This crystal grants you telepathy for as long as you remain attuned to it.

The crystal also glows with a purplish inner light while you are attuned to it.

The crystal can hold the equivalent of one book that's no more than 320 pages long. The first 10 "pages" are currently inaccessible, and the rest are empty.
While holding the crystal, you can use an action to open your mind to the crystal, seeing its content in your mind. On subsequent rounds, reading the text or scribing new text on blank "pages" in the crystal requires concentration (as if concentrating on a spell) and takes the same amount of time it takes you to read and write normally. Thinking of a particular phrase or topic draws you to the first section in the crystal that addresses it.

Rules for telepathy:

Telepathy is a magical ability that allows you to communicate mentally with another creature within a specified range. The contacted creature doesn't need to share a language with you to communicate in this way with you, but it must be able to understand at least one language. A creature without telepathy can receive and respond to telepathic messages but can't initiate or terminate a telepathic conversation.
You don't need to see a contacted creature and can end the telepathic contact at any time. The contact is broken as soon as you are no longer within range of each other or if you contact a different creature within range. You can initiate or terminate a telepathic conversation without using an action, but while you are incapacitated, you can't initiate telepathic contact, and any current contact is terminated.
A creature within the area of an antimagic field or in any other location where magic doesn't function can't send or receive telepathic messages.
