Tomeninyero (planet)

Tomeninyero was once a proud, powerful state. Its people were the uncontested masters of all they surveyed, and their technological prowess was augmented a thousandfold by their resource-rich home world. The natives were so adept, and so connected to their home world, that they were able to float across its surface with magnetic repulsion.   Their fall, when it came, was not some cataclysm or great invasion. It was the simple decay of all things, the toll of time and the harvesting of resources, that with imperceptible slowness ate away at the foundations of the proud beings. The people had made themselves nearly immortal, but as the resources of the world dwindled to nothing they began to starve. As time passed, they found themselves the rulers of an empire decaying to nothing, an empire that had run for too long on too little. The The once-proud people of the world were forced to covertly steal meager quantities of the resources that had built and sustained their empire, becoming little more than crows picking at scraps.

Geography

Geographically diverse, with plains, mountains, deserts, steppes, and oceans. However, most of the world contains some evidence of prior inhabitants, littered with ruins like memorials to the dying empire's lost omnipresence.

Natural Resources

Almost none
The people of Tomeninyero are now little more than scavengers, but this is not universal. Many natives were scattered across the galaxy during their prime, and some still wander the cosmic gulfs.
