Laxon (City)

Laxon gained it's incredible wealth and renown through creating the methods for harnessing runic energy from the seas and synthesising it into crystalline forms known as Runic Shards. 
Laxon is a space, for this reason, of artificers, inventors, crafters and labourers though also experiences significant exports meaning piracy and smuggling has become a worry for them of late. 
Laxon's other problem is in the form of the amount of orphans they have experienced due to the runic drugs moving through the city and workers unable to support children. As a result of this Laxon's primary factories and bosses purchased the orphanages and use the children for free labour in the Runic Factory's. 
Additionally, the amount of runic energy being harnessed has left a small lilac mist hanging over the city of Laxon that has increased crimes and unexpected events... kinda like the runic madness in the cursed lands...
At this point the madness has reached such a point that the Jewelled are being hired and paid more for their resources in Laxon and they are also searching for mercenaries willing to take on guard and control jobs as the prison of Laxon (that has since been nicknamed 'The Whispering Walls' for its maddening whispers pervading the space).
