Perianth

Two worlds, joined by a fragile bond and existing side by side - Perianth and the Mirrorworld. Sisters in their prosperity, though estranged and unknown to each other save an enlightened few. For centuries both have prospered, reaping the bounties of peace and good fortune - but that time of plenty is coming to an end.   In the Mirrorworld strange beasts rise from Nowhere, ripping the world apart. Cities crumble under the weight of nightly attacks, and graveyards heave with the mutilated dead. In Perianth the country of Erymthia is hampered by an incapable king, driven mad with grief after the death of his wife. Tesc is heaving from a bloody revolution; Cadraelia has set its hungry eyes across the sea; Nesmar is struggling to keep the peace; Nyr is quietly trying to get by.   Two Mirrorworld brothers have the solution: open the bond between the two worlds and devour Perianth, using it to heal their own dying world. To do this they need the Keys, eight people whose magical energy, when combined, will unlock the metaphorical door between the worlds. While the Grim Brothers weave their red string of fate, trying to ensnare the Keys, they struggle to survive in an increasingly hostile world, unaware that they're running out of time.
