My Summer Camp 2021 Worldbuilding Pledge Document

Which project are your worldbuilding efforts tied to?

I plan to focus on the fantasy narrative that will (hopefully!) become a novel or two exploring the development of several characters, including the manipulative sorceress An'ayala, the reluctant revolutionary Sir'sa, and the loyal knight Arenth.

What world are you working on?

I don't have an official name for it, but I've tentatively named the project 'Performance'.

Which area of the world are you working on?

I plan to focus on the cultures of three of the ethnic groups within my setting: the Arai, the Mag'arna, and the Matarai.

How much are you aiming to complete?

I'm going to shoot for the stars on this one, and aim to complete all 31 challenges! But as this is my first foray into more structured worldbuilding (and, indeed, my first posted article), I'll be proud of myself if I manage 10.

When will you write?

That's largely going to depend on my work schedule, but (knowing myself as I do) most likely at night, when I should be sleeping.

Who is your support network?

Mainly my friends, and of course the WorldAnvil discord. My mother is also really pulling for me, I think her daughter trying to write a novel is a dream come true.
