Gaud, The Smith

Gaud was an Aenil, and a Tirith, who was responsible for fashioning and crafting the substances of which Totum, the world, was composed. He delighted in the nature of substances and in works of skill, but was not concerned with possession or mastery. Besides the shaping of Totum, Gaud's greatest works were the Gates Of Na, the vessels of the Sun and Moon, the Dwarves and the 7 Jewels of Tur.   He also created Angwedh (the chains that imprisoned Sudmes) and resides in the Fidem Plane   Gaud strove to be true to the original intent of the Story of the Pennas, and submitted all that he did to the will of Aen Er'iol. When the Elves came to Fidem, They became the students of Gaud. Valief was his greatest pupil, and from him learned to make gems through craftsmanship that was later forgotten. This would eventually lead to the Orb of Solis, the greatest creation of handiwork within Totum
