Vegetable Hill
Demographics
Humans, Fae
Government
Owned by Lady Petal Whyte. Her Reeve is known as Sheets-in-Silk, a faun storyteller.
Defences
The bridge of the settlement can be raised, allowing no entry to the village from the east without crossing the river. The guards at Vegetable Hill are also some of the most well trained guards in any villager, with access to spells thanks to the Seelie Fae, making them unlike any guard force in Man's Valley.
Industry & Trade
The farming goods of livestock and vegetables are the towns saving grace, as well as herbs and potions, sold to merchants for high prices. Many inhabitants also take up professions such as alchemy and carpentry.
Infrastructure
Contains a single bridge that leads into the North-East section of town.
As well as many farming houses and land, the village also has a watermill near the lake that runs from the Glittering Sea.

Assets
A huge farming settlement, Vegetable Hill is known for its rich land and clean water. As the closest Man's Valley village to Arcania, its' resources are more desirable than any other settlement, even Champion's Heart.
Their alliance with the Seelie Fae also provide some basic magical items, located in Granny Ling's General Store. The blacksmith has some decent metals thanks to the mine in the Crying Woods, owned by the Firblog "Dagg Trailblazer".

Guilds and Factions
Vegetable Hill is in alliance with the Seelie Fae, a faction of good-aligned fae that inhabit the Dream and Paulia. The alliance with this faction has caused some upset with the King, as the Seelie Fae are supporters of the Elven Watcher's Army, even going as far as some seelie battling alongside the elves. However, thanks to some persuasion by Lady Whyte, the King has chose to overlook this alliance as long as the villagers of Vegetable Hill do not supply the Seelie with food or equipment. If this was found to be the case, King Linos promises to wipe the village out of existence.
As well as the Seelie, the Merchant Guild also have an office in Vegetable Hill, owned by council member Yarban Moneybags. Yarban was originally the leader of the Moltenrok's branch of the Merchants Guild but he moved to Vegetable Hill, after nearly killing his daughter's boyfriend with a golden spoon (after finding out she was pregnant).

History
The patch of land that now holds Vegetable Hill was once nothing, until emigrants from Arcania arrived to settle. Originally a hamlet, the young villagers were assisted by the Seelie Fae, a group of "nice" fae, who helped the villagers in return for food and milk (fae love milk). The villagers accepted, the roots of Arcania allowing for a more trusting nature of the fae.
After a short time, the hamlet became a village and their name was chosen by a small child, who saw the mass amounts of vegetables growing on the hill the village stood and believed it was a charming but simple name. Ever since the beginning, the Whyte family have owned the village, known for being mysterious, pale, oddly creepy but also extremely polite and patient. Despite some inhabitants of Man's Valley being dis-trustworthy of the new arrivals, the excellent food, drink and chemical concoctions were welcomed by merchants and nobles alike.
Vegetable Hill has always been disconnected from the rest of Man's Valley; even when Gargant and his legions of giants invaded from the North, the villagers of Vegetable Hill were kept safe by the Seelie, hidden inside rabbitholes and tree trunks. Therefore, many people don;t go there often, viewing the villagers as "unconcerned" for the welfare of the kingdom. In truth, the villagers do care, but a rumoured past in Arcania show that the villagers are used to being "used" for the purpose of their rulers. This is why the villager appear distant and "cowardly" to some. Although this didn't stop Savagegfolk raiding the villager many years ago, killing many and stealing some men and women to use as slaves. This is known as the greatest tragedy in Vegetable Hill's history, where a memorial still stands to this day to honour the dead.

Architecture
The village's structure is made primarily of wood, mostly oak but some elderwood too.
Geography
Vegetable Hill sits on a large hill, next to a river that connects to the Glittering Sea.
Natural Resources
Thanks to the proximity to the border and Crying Woods, the villager has natural access to wood to use for construction. A nearby mine allows for some metals & ore to be mined but due to is' position in the Crying Woods, villagers seldom use it and rely on trading for metals & ores.
As stated, the village is known for its crops and livestock, which is used for their own needs and to trade with merchants.
