Etainian/Mountain Dwarf War

Military action

A short war between the peoples of Etaine and the Dwarven mountain kingdoms.

When rumours of a kingdom of people living with the mountains that sit on the eastern edge of the Etaine kingdom were proved true, the Etainians responded with their usual distrust of other races. The dwarves were deemed dishonourable, due to their blunt attitudes and unkempt hair and beards. Many Etainian knights were sent into the mountains to purge them of the dwarves.   Many small battles took place, and little ground was gained or lost. The harsh conditions of the mountains meant actual fighting was few and far between. Overtime a mutual respect grew between the two warring parties, and the war eventually ceased. Both parties now harbour feelings of resentment towards each other, but the Etainians know that there is no honour in war against against kingdom as honourable as the dwarves. And the dwarves have no need for Etainian lands, and have no reason to risk the lives of their warriors against what they know to be a formidable fighting force.
