Pasárgada

A world with a secret.

In a world much like our own, inhabited by human-like creatures and animals just like ours. However, there is a degree of cosmic Magic not accessible to humans that is tied to the very fabric of existence. "Humans" are not completely aware of the existence of this magic, but there are some cults who theorize its existence.
Humans have relatively advanced technology that is very similar to our own, with the notable exception of there being virtually no space exploration. They have, however, created satellites with purposes like redirecting radio signals and similar quality of life functions. Pasárgada is also home to immense metropoles, with numerous vertical buildings.
Society is peaceful, with large-scale wars being a thing of the past. There is a degree of crime caused by failings of the capitalist-like economy, but it is not very prevalent. A school of thought that values reason and science has been the current trend for the past century, leaving the aforementioned cults scarce and discredited.

Geography

There is a wide range of different terrains and oceans, as the world is very similar to ours. The main attraction, however, are the gigantic technological cities that can be found everywhere on the planet. Most of the capitals have incredibly tall skyscrapers and a similar technology level to our own. There are also rural towns around the capitals, where factories and farms can be found.
A very important thing to note is that natural disasters have been occurring at seemingly random locations for the past decade. Weirdly enough, there has not been any way to either prevent or foresee where these disasters will occur and they have varying degrees of destruction and nature. None of them have been cataclysmic though.

Fauna & Flora

Very similar to our own, but the increasing deforestation for the past century have been extremely taxing on the environment and a few species have been steadily disappearing.
