Where Is Ibius?
Ibius was a chaotic god worshipped by rogues, thieves, jesters, magicians and any who sought a prize that was not theirs or wanted to pull a prank, great or small. He ruled the demiplane Hideaway. He semi-regularly breached the Divine Oath to give strokes of luck to his followers, favour thieves in difficult situations and, occasionally, enter the Material Plane, taking the form, legend goes, of a many-eyed wolfdog. for which he received the scorn of other gods. His icon was a many-eyed wolf.
After Ibius's Gift, Ibius disappeared. The Canon Church maintains that Ibius was exiled by the other gods to a distant demiplane, forever imprisoned. Some mortals, and especially Ibius's followers, maintain that Ibius fled the Outer Planes to hide in the Material Plane, safe from the gods because of their oath to not intervene in mortal affairs. Stories are regularly passed around the world of sights of a many-eyed wolfdog or of crowns being stolen in faraway lands. Orion Kracheon, heir to the throne of Ullon, famously issued letters to all nobles of the continent in 1048 MC, aged eight, declaring that he had seen Ibius as a many-eyed wolfdog in Verdin Park and that Ibius had told him "he would be more than a king: a god."
