The Kingdom of Elulalfana

The Highland Hills of Elulalfana make up the majority of the topography of this ancient kingdom. Sloping hills give way to lowland coast as one travels further north. The temperature is often sub-artic, with the world's most northern landlocked glacier being found within the borders of the kingdom.

Elulalfana was once an empire that almost spanned the entirety of the central northern region of Pania. It was ruled by The Great Emporer, who's stern hand and dedication to propriety propelled their populace to an academic golden age. Military tactics and Scholarly advances allowed the Elulalfanians to spread far and wide and stamp their culture across the continent.

Politics

Elulalfanian politics is centralised under the Queen. The Queen claims direct lineage to The Great Elder, being a direct descendent of their oldest child. The Queen holds absolute power by right of succession, and is the only person (aside from the royal archivist) who has access to the diaries of The Great Emporer.

Serving as advisors to the Queen are the Dukes and Duchesses of the Duchies of Elulalfana.

The Duchies of Elulalfana

There are Five Duchies in Elulalfana, with the Queen holding the Duchy of Umyerasad, wherein the Capital Elrandra is found.

Culture

Elulalfanian politics is primarily inspired by the Elden Elven culture that makes up the majority of the population. The culture is primarily courtly. Court intrigue, politics, and courtly romance are prized passtimes and virtues. Manners and etiquette give over to the complex and nigh indiscernable to ensure that deidcation and purity to the Elden way.

Formal dances and dinners are hosted regularly with the opportunity to play politics and gain advantages over contemporaries. Alliances are made and destroyed at such functions. Letter writing is the primary method of communication, even amongst the peasantry, as spoken word is considered coarse.

The Elulalfanian's believe in purity of blood, this does not specifically relate to species or race, but rather to dynastic closesness to nobility. The higher level of nobility you can claim ancestry of then the higher standing you will hold in Elulfanian society.

The Elulalfanian culture does not tend to distinguish between gender, generally. It is not something that is recognised as being of import. Androgyny is a prized trait, and gender tends to only be assigned to a person who has successfully reproduced. The person who births the child taking the title of mother, and the person who did not birth the child taking the title of father.

Religion

Ancestory worship is the Elulalfanian primary relgion with The Great Emporer being deified above all others to a state of absolute divinity. Offerings of perfumes and works of written art (such as poetry or epic stories) are burned sacrificially once a year to provide comfort to The Great Emporer wherever their soul may rest.

It is believed by Elulalfanian's that The Great Emporer's death was their way of bringing conquest to the Elven Pantheon.
