The Protectorate of Srapjar

The forested lands of Srapjar are fed by the melted waters of the great glaciers. The nutrient rich waters feeding the soil and granting great growth to the plantlife and a great variety to the animals that call Srapjar home. The beasts of the forests tended to hold dominion over the land discouraging settlement attempts from other races. This was until the Srapjarran people emerged from the depths of of the deeproot.

Politics

The Srapjar protectorate is ruled over by the Bogdrakhian Khaganate, who garuntees its independence. The Srapjar provincial ruler is the High Priestess Muelnil. The High Priestess organises the people and leads them in their religious rites and thus directs the works and priorities of each province.

Culture

The Srapjarran people are a lizard-like people and their priorities tend to be around the acquirement of food and resources to ensure their survival. The Srapjarran do not have a fascination with art, outside of its ability to convey thoughts and process. The langugae of the Srapjarran is heiroglyphic. Equally music and poetry are not considered valuable.

The Srapjarran people prize functionality and use above aesthetic beauty and thus pour themselves towards artifice and engineering. They prize themselves in their civil engineering works, having worked with the industrious Pengku people to build a series of aquaducts that could transport goods and efficiently deliver meltwater.

Religion

The Srapjarran religion worships the great serpelow. The great serpent below is the progenitor of the species and is said to encircle the core of the world, which is the egg of The Great Dragon, the original dragon. It is believed that once the dragon hatches it shall bring about the end of the world and thus The Great Serpent constricts the egg to prevent the dragon from growing.
