The Grand Duchy of Morb

The Grand Duchy of Morb comes from the invitation of Orcs to settle the westernmost lands of Elulalfana. Eventually the horde of tribes that descended on Elulalfana became more trouble than they were worth and brutal wars were fought between the orcs and different elvish peoples of the lands.

Eventually Morb, an Orc Chieftain managed to unite the tribes of the land under his banner, to seek peace with Elulalfana, who he viewed as more powerful, he arranged a parlé wherein he pledged fealty to The Great Emporer, and in return was promised ownership of the land and a protection from revocation for him and his descendants. Thus the Grand Duchy of Morb was created, nestled into the forests and wetlands and now seperate from Elulalfana following the succession crisis.

Politics

The Grand Duchy of Morb is ruled over by the Duke. The current Duke of Morb is Bujar of House Morb.

Culture

Morb was subject to a large amount of investment by the old Elulalfanian empire, as a result of this architects, scholars, and linguists were imported into Morb to teach the orcs the Elven ways of the empire. The orcish culture flourished under the attention, as martial prowess changed into courtly duels. Court manners and etiquette gave opportunity for insults and compliment to be levied subtley and keep ones enemies and allies guessing. The Morbian people took to the new culture quickly over many years and generations until they became a reflection of the Elulalfanian empire they were once a part of.

Religion

The orcs of Morb worship their ancestors, tending to deify Morb himself over many as a great figure and deliverer of the people. There is no centralised authority to the religion and as such people's worship is usually unique and private to them.
