Rusthtownian's tend to migrate themselves insland, or to the city of Whitmouth during seasons where the great sea beasts come to nest, and during these times will often take up jobs as carpenters or shipwrights for foreign countries. Most Rusthtownians learn to swim before they learn to walk, and all are expected to be servicable at sea.

Religion

The rusthtownians tend to revere the great beasts of the sea. It is not particularly deification, but rather they view them in a similar role as demigods or psychopaumps. The great beasts of the sea are forces of nature that embody the wrath of the sea to them, those who have seen one of the great beasts and lived to return to land are considered to be blessed and warned and will not return to the sea as to do so is to invoke the wrath of the beast.
