Greater Consecration   9th-level Evocation   Casting Time: 10 minutes Range: 50 kilometers (radius centered on the caster) Components: V, S, M (a shard of a celestial crystal, purified water from a holy spring, and a sacred relic of a divine being, collectively worth 50,000 gold pieces) Duration: Instantaneous     ---   Description   Upon casting this spell, a wave of radiant energy expands outward in a 50-kilometer radius, purging corruption and restoring balance to the land and its inhabitants.   Effects:   1. Undead, Fiends, Aberrations, and Demons: These creatures must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, they take 10d6 radiant damage and are blinded for 1 minute. On a successful save, they take half damage and suffer no additional effects.     2. All Other Creatures: Non-evil creatures within the radius have all negative conditions (e.g., blinded, paralyzed, poisoned) removed. Additionally, they gain temporary hit points equal to half the caster’s level (rounded up).     3. Environment: The spell sanctifies the land for 10 years. During this time, corrupted areas within the radius become cleansed, infernal rifts are sealed, and desecrated objects are purified. Ley-lines in the area are strengthened, restoring harmony to the natural balance.         ---   Alignment-Specific Effects:   Neutral Casters: Casting this spell consumes 90% of the caster's remaining lifespan as the magic draws heavily on their life force to bridge the moral dichotomy of the spell’s essence.   Good Casters: Upon casting, the caster becomes blind for 24 hours, as their mortal senses cannot endure the radiant brilliance of their magic.   Evil Casters: Evil-aligned creatures attempting to cast this spell automatically fail, and the spell consumes the material components without effect.       ---   Narrative Background   Created by: Indica, First Queen of the Elves and wielder of Elven High Magic. Purpose: This spell was designed to end the War of the Hordes by obliterating the demon host summoned by the Minotaur clans invading the sacred forests of Aelintaur. It eradicated the demonic forces, stripped the Minotaur invaders of their infernal empowerment, and restored the sanctity of the Elven lands.   However, this spell carries a heavy toll, ensuring it is wielded only in the most desperate of times. The divine energies it commands enforce a moral balance, punishing misuse and demanding sacrifice even from those aligned with its radiant purpose.     ---   At Higher Levels: This spell cannot be cast at a higher level, as it represents the pinnacle of divine magical energy in 5th Edition mechanics.   Classes: Cleric, Paladin, Druid (with DM approval for homebrew settings where High Magic exists).
