Water of Oath

From the Oath Cenote, the birthplace of Death/Life, or rather now known as Dr. Tobias Sable (The Historian).   The cenote was originally an ordinary underground water deposit used by the All-Mother as a place of rest. During the earlier fights with The Maker, an injured All-Mother has been known to use underground water deposits to heal herself using natural resources such as water (particularly water buried by the earth).   The underwater was, however, made into a cenote sinkhole due to a brief earthquake. Regardless of her previous use of the water, rendering the water useless to the All-Mother maintained some of her powers and abilities to heal.   Legend tells a story of when ancient human civilization began to flourish, and while people still willingly served The Maker, a high priestess gave a "virgin" birth (it is possible that a ruthless prince assaulted her and impregnated her, defiling the sacredness of her faith). Thus, The Maker was enraged by this act and cursed the child to be stillborn.   It is also believed, particularly by the All-Mother and those serving her, that The Maker acted through the prince, and he is the father of the child. Due to the Maker's shame over this act of himself, he cursed the child to be stillborn.   When the child was born dead, particularly due to an act of violation and to a priestess losing her sacredness, the emperor of the ancient civilization believed the child to be an omen of evil and ordered the priestess to perform a cleansing ritual via "drowning" the child in sacred water.   Thus, the high priestess threw the dead infant into the cenote of the All-Mother, without fully understanding the significance of the location. Miraculously, the infant began to cry out at the bottom of the cenote, frightening the priestess. The Maker noticing this plucked the child up from the water, and from it emerged Death.   At this location, after the All-Mother + The Maker war, Death, War, Famine, and Pestilence abandoned their subjectivity to follow The Maker to become children of the All-Mother. They abandon their previously created purpose of being the harbingers of evil but make the oath to become symbols of good in the world. Hence the name of Oath Cenote. Death, War, Famine, and Pestilence thus became Life, Peace, Bounty, and Health.   Additionally, after Death/Life renounced himself to become Dr. Tobias Sable to create an heir, Dr. Sable uses the water from the Oath Cenote to synthesize the blastocyte culture media used for the IVF of Demo Sable and his peers.   It is also unknown why Dr. Sable exposed various blastocytes to the Water of Oath Cenote. It may, in part, be because he believed the burden was too great for one person to inherit his duties and also allowed for some back-ups if any of the blastocytes do not survive or are successfully implanted. Thus, resulting to multiple IVF children of the Institution gaining superhuman abilities and connections to the All-Mother.
