Fault Line Engineers

Fault Line Engineers (the Faults) are workers specifically hired by Bardier (Inc.) to maintain the Continental Superconductor (SC) Magnetic Levitation (MAGLEV) Train tracks and systems when it crosses the tectonic plates' fault line.
Currently, there are only three locations where the train tracks cross fault lines. The Selkie line running between Alka Skerry and Meridian crosses the fault line for both Norr and Soder (North and South) direction at Location Beta between Raaven and Helena and Location Gama between Ilion and Meridian. The Calypso line running between Tianne (Siren/Longan) and Zion for both directions Shui and Huo (Water and Fire), also goes over a fault line at Location Alpha before crossing to Longan, which is no longer in service and Location Delta between Elysian and Qinghe.
In regions where the trains cross the fault lines (Locations Beta, Delta, Gamma), these locations are highly maintained to eliminate any possible disasters regarding the train systems. These locations are also remote due to their exclusivity from settlements. Faultlines however have been historically stable
In these locations, Fault Line Engineers work reclusively in their designated locations to maintain the structural integrity of the train tracks just in case movements of the tectonic plates lead to the earth shifting drastically. The locations are reclusive because this prevents settlements and large cities from being damaged if the plates shift (possibly causing earthquakes, volcanic activity, and such). The Engineers work in 4-month rotations and 8hr shifts at job sites with three rounds of people shifting for each, maintaining a constant watch over train track work by at least one group of engineers. These jobs are hazardous but require skilled men. Thus the pay and benefits for these jobs are very advantageous, making these professions highly sought after despite the remote location and danger. These professions are also highly regarded due to their core integrity in maintaining relations between nations (trade and travel).
