Ylohom

Essences: human
A land infused with human essence, turning everything to anthropomorphic shapes. Examples:

• Statuesque mountains, some still, some slowly moving, some raging any rampaging
• Trees growing in human shapes, and are frequently treants.
• Fires sometimes spontaneously generate short-lived flame elementals.
• Humanoid storms and tornadoes
• Forest of hands - the sound of knucklebones underfoot as you go walking on a crisp late autumn morning

Human Natives are common, and often giant. But the land is largely barren, chaotic, and savage. Collaborative settlements where 100-200ft giants carry small camps/settlements/vehicles of smaller humans (some still giant). These have varying social arrangements but are generally egalitarian.
Biggest Ylohom giants use warscythes and flails - a bit like anti infantry Cataphracts - convergent evolution.

Questions:

• Lots of people, but not much food or opportunity - a continual outflowing of people into the wider world?
• How mountainous is Ylohom? What other terrains does it have (beyond forest of limbs)? Other forests, lowlands/rivers/swamps, plains/farmland? Is the land unstable, making permanent settlements unsafe in most places and leading to a smaller, mostly-nomadic population? This ties into the forest of limbs – the lady ensures its stability
• Raids for - or imports - food and lots of other supplies.
• Sireless - spontaneous babies that arise in Ylohom - have a character who is one? Landborn - an umbilical cord that stretches down into the earth - considered destined for great or terrible things. How are they raised?
• Maneaters?
