Weeping Dritis (dright-iss)

Weeping Dritis is a parasitic disease spread by a bug that latches onto your arm and injects the disease with it's bite. The condition causes humans to cry a lot, but instead of crying tears, they cry blood because the blood travels up into the eyes and replaces the tears. It is highly infectious and very dangerous.

Transmission & Vectors

The blood being cried out is infectious, and if it gets on someone else, it will spread very quickly.

Causes

If a small bug such as a leech or other bugs that suck blood, the disease has a very rare chance of spreading to humans. The disease is painful and extremely infectious.

Symptoms

The person will be crying excessively, but instead of crying tears, the person with the disease will cry blood. Some times, people will even spit blood from their mouth.

Treatment

To get rid of the disease, it will require removal of blood from the neck, as the blood flowing through the neck to the head and eventually eyes will be contagious and will continue to spread disease. Once the blood is removed, the patient will slowly but steadily lose the contaminated blood and eventually get back to a healthy state.

Prognosis

The infection is extremely fatal and dangerous, and requires immediate treatment, or the patient could die from it. The patient will most likely have more blood issues later.

Affected Groups

Mostly kids and teens are affected by the disease.

Hosts & Carriers

Most of the time small leeches or other bugs carry the disease and spread it to other animals or humans. The carriers are not affected by it.

Prevention

There is no current vaccine or cure for it, but there have been methods for removing the disease manually.
