The War for Rhymenia
The War for Rhymenia was a gruesome, longlasting war over a country known as Rhymenia. Not long after governments had just been established, kings set in place and other things had happened, the Glorinian king decided to try and find an undiscovered country to claim as his. He sent out explorers to search long and hard, and eventually, they did find something. The explorers came across an uncharted island, which they later called Rhymenia. Rhymenia was lush and beautiful, and some even claim that it was a part of Elyseum fallen from the sky. The Glorinian king, greedy and uncontent with what he had, claimed the country as his. The other countries would not have it. The other countries decided to start a war over it, all of them claiming that it was theirs because of this or that. Multiple attempts were made to settle peace among the countries, but the countries could not agree on one person to set as king, so they agreed that it should be left unruled. A document expressing each country's agreement to this was written, and each king put his signature on it and the war ended. The war had lasted 500 years, and it was finally over now.
The Conflict
Prelude
The countries could not agree on who should rule the country, so they agreed to disagree and made a document stating it should be left unruled unless something drastic happened.
Deployment
Hundreds of soldiers were sent out into the battlefield, and the ground was stained crimson with blood and dead soldiers. There were 2000 Glorinian soldiers sent out, 1500 Arkonan warriors and tribes, and 2400 Orandian soldiers.
Battlefield
The battle took place in the Orandian sea and on the Orandian coast, the battle varying from fighting onboard ships or launching giant projectiles from land at ships, or just a whole lot of melee combat.
Conditions
The temperature was hot, and soldiers nearly overheated under the heavy and uncomfortable armor they were wearing. There were several beasts that would join and attack soldiers, not caring which ones they killed.
The Engagement
The soldiers mostly battled melee, but there was also times where ships would launch massive flaming spears at other ships, towers, etc.
Outcome
The war resulted in loss of forests, destruction of animals and wildlife, and other horrible things. Thousands died and hundreds were severely injured or hurt.
Aftermath
The war left a bad reputation for Glorina, but shortly the king was replaced by a better and wiser king who ruled the country peacefully and well. He covered for all the mistakes the previous king had made, and made sure to apologize to all countries for what the previous Majitir had done. Even though the new king covered for past mistakes, countries were still scarred by what Glorina had done.
Historical Significance
Legacy
After the war had finally been over, peace had been restored and everyone was living happily. This was a war to never be forgotten, and the tale of this war is contained in scrolls.
In Literature
There have been short poems written about the war, but other than that there have not been any songs or books on it. There were, however, books explaining the war indecisively used in schools or found in libraries.
