Elysian Palace (eel-lie-zee-in palace)
The Elysian Palace is the home of the gods. It is found in the Elyseum and is decorated beautifully with precious metals. There is a court, in which the gods hold meetings with one another. There is also the throne room, with a throne themed after each god it seats. There are rooms for each god where they can sleep, and there is also a massive dining room where Elysia serve food to the gods and anyone else there. Everything inside is beautiful, and in each room there are candles that burn at night and cast off a magic aroma designed to put all who smell it to sleep and give whoever smells it a peaceful sleep and good dreams.
Purpose / Function
The Elysian Palace is a dwelling place for children of gods and gods alike. The building is used for every affair a god could use it for.
Design
The rooms are massive, built to fit demigods and gods alike. The walls are gold and have crystal clear windows that allow you to see for hundreds of miles.
Entries
The doors are the only entrance besides two other side entrances, but the doors are locked and guarded at all times.
Sensory & Appearance
The palace has beautiful scents and smells to bring pleasure to the guests noses, and the place is designed to be beautiful beyond description.
Contents & Furnishings
There are weapons hanging from the walls, that are used solely for show and not designed for combat. There are luxorious couches to enjoy, and other things to bring pleasure to those who visit.
Valuables
The gods keep a vault where all the money given by mortals goes to be stored for future use. The coins are often melted down into liquid metals and the liquid is used to make weapons, armor, accessories, etc.
Hazards & Traps
There are no traps needed, for there are Elysia who stand guard at all times and the gods often will remove unwelcome guests or visitors.
Special Properties
There is no need for lighting, as the walls cast off a glow that lights the palace perfectly, providing a comfortable light setting and is easy on the eyes.
Alterations
As the gods were created, the throne room was expanded to make more room for more thrones for other gods. Other than that, it hasnt been altered or changed.
Architecture
The place is designed to be elegant and beautiful. Massive silver and gold pillars make up the foundation, and it has arched entrances into hallways and doors alike. The outside has bronze roof that never rusts or fades.
Defenses
Elysia stand outside the palace doors day and night to keep unwelcome souls and visitors away from the place. The gods dont need defenses other than the Elysia. The gods can fight if needed.
History
The place was built a couple weeks after Paerithaine had been created, and it originally had only one throne for Ronan himself, but later as the gods multiplied, the throne room was expanded to make room for more thrones.
Tourism
They don't allow guests here, unless you are a mortal favored by the gods.
