Desert Crawler
Desert crawlers take the appearance of a scorpion, but are much larger in size and kill a full sized man with a sting from its tail. They live in deserts, and feed off of humans. They also can create webs like a spider. They can burrow into the sand and hide if needed or feel threatened. The desert crawlers only stab their prey with a venomous tail if their prey is struggling too much. They very rarely inject venom into their prey, and instead bite their prey’s head off.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Desert crawlers look like human sized scorpions, but are much more dangerous than a scorpion. A single sting from a Desert Crawler can kill a man. The tails are extremely long and have claws used for grabbing prey.
Growth Rate & Stages
The Desert Crawlers grow 10 times faster than an average human baby. This extremely fast mature rate does not even shorten its life. Once the Desert crawler is fully grown, it lives for another 30 years before it starts to become old.
Ecology and Habitats
Desert Crawlers live in barren, desert environments. It lives off of living creatures roaming the desert and are extremly hostile to humans or other creatures.
Dietary Needs and Habits
The Desert Crawlers hunt for humans, usually creatures larger than itself. It poisons its prey, waits till the prey is dead and then eats it. If the Crawler kills something but doesn't need to eat, it will bury the prey in the sand and leave it until it needs to eat.
Biological Cycle
When in the desert, the Desert Crawlers usually come out during the day. During winter, the Desert Crawlers will burrow out of the sand in the night and hunt for food before day comes. In any other season, the Desert Crawlers live normally.
Behaviour
The Desert Crawlers will attack the nearest living creature. If a Desert Crawler is attacked, the Crawler will fight and sting the attacker over and over until the attacker is dead.
Additional Information
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
The Desert Crawlers can see well, but they rely more on vibrations in the earth. Sensing the vibrations allows for getting a decent idea of what is nearby or what it's environment is like. A desert crawler can sense a creature from a mile away before it can even see it.
