Owlbear Hollow

Icewind Dale is an arctic tundra located in the Frozenfar region of the North, known for being the northernmost explored region in all of Faerûn. It has earned its name from the harsh winds and icy storms that destroy buildings and scour the landscape. The dale is a harsh, near-inhospitable land that regularly plunges below freezing temperatures, and receives little sunlight, particularly during the severe winter months. Beyond the sporadic dots of civilization dwell the terrifying beasts and deadly monsters of the North (aka Owlbears).
The Ten Towns (Now including the eleventh community of Owlbear Hollow) are a loose confederation of frontier villages found in Icewind Dale. The communities of the Ten Towns attract those people of Faerûn determined to find a life for themselves, and those desperate to leave their former lives behind. While life within each community exemplifies diligence and partnership, relations between each of the communities demonstrates the fierce competitive spirit that is needed to survive in the North.
