The Loss of Magic

After He came to Ossium, He discovered magic. He saw magic as a weapon and a tool rather than a gift. He then decided to make magic an exclusive tool, so no one could fight back against Him. Using Erasure Spells, He erased all knowledge of magic, so it became dangerous. If a person didn't know how to cast a spell, or what would happen, it could be very dangerous for themselves and others. He then established a law that used fear-mongering and propaganda to make magic an incredibly difficult and dangerous art to learn. The only people who have access to magic are those under his command, and they are only taught the magic he determines, which is always war and violent magic. All the magic of growth, peace, love, healing, and all peaceful and nurturing magics have been lost.
