Khar

Basic Information

Anatomy

They are taller, stronger and more resilient than the average human, usually reaching about 2.10 metres in height. Some members of the species can reach up to 3 metres. Those outliers often also have big horns, similar to those of the R'Naar. Their skin is a sandy or greyish colour. They have a protruding lower jaw with prominent canine teeth. They have a third eyelid that enables their enhanced ocular capabilities.

Genetics and Reproduction

Khar are able to reproduce with their own and humans.

Growth Rate & Stages

They reach maturity around 15 years of age and live lives akin to the length of humans at an average of 75 years.

Ecology and Habitats

Most Khar live in caves and on mountains. They live in very small, familial groups or as nomads.  On Ossenia they tend to be loners. Due to their physique they tend to work jobs that require strength like bouncers or mechanics.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Khar are able to consume and digest bones. Outside of that they have very similar diets to humans, tending to be slightly more carnivorous.

Biological Cycle

Because of their sensitivity to sunlight and heat they tend to avoid going outside in the summer as much as possible. They are also generally more nocturnal.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Their eyes are more sensitive to light. Additionally, they have the ability to see heat signatures with their third eyelid closed, going as far as being able to see sources of heat through walls.
