Midwood Town

Midwood town is overseen by Akhilesh of the family Kumar. Akhi’s family is primarily in the spice trade, and Midwood Town recently came under the Kumar family’s rule.   The Kumar family helped quell an uprising in Midwood several years ago, and the former noble, Marilyn Gaspar, who was allied to the Kumar’s, sold off her lands to retire somewhere quieter.   The Kumar’s have been using Midwood as a staging operation for their spice trade. It is the first stop for their caravans after they make the slow and treacherous journey through the mountains.   The city has a population of approximately 1200, mostly human, with a scattering of the other races.   There is some tension between the ‘old residents’ and the ‘new residents’ who have settled from Radapeche.   Surrounding farmland grows crops and raises farm animals mostly to sustain the city - the majority of the city’s income is from the spice trade.

Local Guard

The local guard consists of a militia of 40-60 soldiers available at any one time to help patrol the walls, escort caravans to borders, and maintain order in the city. The guard captain is a man named Vikneeth Kumar - a nephew of Akhilesh.
