The Vohd'ahr

Most people who follow the book of Shorik believe By'ham'ahn and Ty'ah'mah to be the two prime deities, also known as the Vohd'ahr. To other cultures the two are known colloquially as Bahamut and Tiamat. They are said to hold the greatest power, not residing over any one aspect of life, but over all. Being the first two sentient beings in existence, it was their dreams that brought all else into reality. Together they had one true blood offspring: Sardior. While the other Mond'ahr are considered their children, they were created through dream and thus not related by blood. In the beginning By'ham'ahn and Ty'ah'mah were one and the same, but after the sundering of the sands they would forever be seen as polar opposites.   By'ham'ahn is the patron of all things good and just. In some ancient texts he is shown to be a giant dragon scaled fish holding the world on his back. However the more modern take on his appearance is that of a great platinum dragon, with a large city of gold resting upon his form. This city is known to be Shel'tial, home to all of his children who have passed into the afterlife. It is in this city that the Mond'ahr hold their many meetings, and pay respects to their slumbering creator. By'ham'ahn has two main symbols, the first being the head of a silver dragon, and the second of a giant fish circling an oasis.   Ever since her fall into nightmare, Ty'ah'mah has been the patron of all evil and monsters. It is believed that she is in fact the mother of all monsters, as in her waking nightmare she has only dreamt of horrid things, and such beasts have sprung into reality as a result. Ty'ah'mah's most common representations are that of a terrible five headed dragon, each head representing the prime values. However in her fall these prime values turned to darkness, and thus the prime vices were born. Ty'ah'mah's main symbol are her five heads, each one devouring the other like a horrific ouroboros.
After the sundering sands, it is said that By'ham'ahn returned to Vohd, to dream, where he could forever find his rest. This story is typically told with a bittersweet tone, as he could never again find company with Ty'ah'mah, who was forever lost in the nightmare prison.
It is said that the first Dragons were born when By'ham'ahn or Ty'ah'mah dreamt. While the two travelled these dreams, a small portion of the Vohd'ahr fractured, creating a personality that was distinctly different from the dreamer, and thus the first dragon eggs formed in reality. This is why dragons who live to be a great age have dragonsight, the ability to look within themselves and connect spiritually with the two dreamers.   While dragons can be considered ancestors of the original Vohd'ahr, they are so far removed from the equation that (while they seem to act upon the core values of the ancestor) they are by no means bound to it. The question that this leads to however is the true nature of Draconians, and whether they too are connected to the prime Deities.
