The Mountain Halls of Dorgata

Known as the mountain halls, Dorgata has been hewn into the rock by the ancient Dwarves. Still it stands strong as the capitol of their civilization in Orsbir, exporting finely crafted goods made with an expertise that only dwarves could attain. Calling Dorgata a city would be an understatement, for it is much larger and much greater than any city that stands today. Many settlements have been built within great caverns tied together by the complex and infinite tunnel systems that fills the Shel'tial mountains.    Each of these settlements could be considered a city by all definition, and each has a unique mine that they have settled by. One thing ties together the mountain halls, and that is their beautifully maintained tunnels formed of bright and layered sandstone unlike any other in the land. Many of these walls are to this day covered in well preserved hieroglyphics from ages past. In some of the higher layers of tunnels sky vents have been carved to give some natural light and air to the dungeons, but in the lower layers many must resort to small lanterns and dwarven darkvision to navigate.    No one knows how far into the earth these dungeons delve, and not many dare to go exploring. Those who have gone to the depths and returned claim that the tunnels truly know no end, and some even leave to pitfalls that could reach into the very core of the earth.    One queen rules over the settlements within the maintain halls, and her name is Zari Copperhearth. The name has old roots in dwarven culture, and the family owns the wealthiest mine in the mountain, one that supplies all colonies with the copper needed to infuse armor and weapons.
Some colonies located in the lower levels claim to hear terrible and great roars from deep within the darkest chasms. Roars that could only be described as eldritch.
