Tabad

Tabad is a settlement that often goes unnoticed by politicians, yet it is well known by merchants. Sitting comfortably within the Alharu valley, Tabad holds a standard of living untouched by outside conflict, opting instead to pursue the trade of goods harvested by local farmers that have settled the locale. While some may think that a small offshoot of the Shorik-kou desert would be hard to farm (and for good reason) those who till the land here grow a specific tree that grows only in this part of the world, The Avo tree, which in turn produces the highly sought after Avo nut. Such yields are annually harvested and sent to Tabad to be retailed in the small markets to passerby and regular customers. For those who live in this small desert town, that is more than enough excitement.    Tabad, as well as the aforementioned farms are no more than a few desert huts with some smaller mosques for individual worship, but the town still has a pharaoh. Suhaila runs the village with a more lax hand, choosing to allow her subjects to roam free unless action needs to be taken, which it rarely does. Suhaila holds the cowl of Enu'Mehka.
The Avo nut is a rare commodity in the Gilded Coast, sought after for its medicinal properties. Many herbalists use the nut in the production of healing vials, and for creations of greater quality it is a necessity. There is however one major problem with obtaining the unique nut- the giant sloth. Giant sloths make their home in the Alharu valley, mainly because their prime source of nutrients is the avo nut. While these beasts are nonhostile and quite frankly good for keeping the land fertile, they often go on eating sprees, clearing out one farm after the other. For the people of the valley, it's quite the predicament.
