Shadhavar

Shadhavar is the oldest city on the Gilded Coast, for it was the first city settled by the elves of the Wayward March, and marks the last recorded sighting of a god on the mortal plane. That god would also be the city's namesake- Shadhavar. The city of Shadhavar rests at the very edge of the shorik-kou desert and southern jungles, so it is no stranger to humidity and arid landscapes. The town's architecture relies strongly on ornate arches with pointed tips and the dome rooftops of great mosques.     The art of song has been a cultural norm within Shadhavar since its founding, owing much of this to the god they worship. Once a year the city all flock to the grand Mosque where they join the Golden Pharaoh Ali al-Shaheed in song. It has been described as the most angelic choir ever witnessed by mortal ears, loud with the voices of the masses yet soft with bliss. This song is sung in reverence to the god of desert and song- Shadhavar.
Due to it being the final stop on the Wayward March, many believe it to be the birthplace of the Desert-Born.
The nomadic shorik-kou elves have a good relationship with the people of Shadhavar, and are known to stop by on their pilgrimage to stock up on finer goods. They never stay within the city however, and opt to set up camp at the gates.
