Sardior

Sardior (also known as the ruby dragon) was the first born of By'ham'ahn and Ty'ah'mah, and as such he was the god of the the night sky and dreams. He held power over creation, much more than the other Mond'ahr. With this power he became king of the gods. It is said that during his life he lived in a flying castle known as the Ruby Palace, and used it to travel across the stars. On his travels he became very wise, travelling throughout the night sky, which is believed to be a window into Vohd itself. He used this wisdom to rule justly, and under him he named ten mortals king. These became the first rulers of the Oasis (ancient Orsbir),and for a long time they ruled well under Sardior's supervision.   Sardior met his fate when his brother, Nafir, grew jealous of the love and respect the ten kings showed to the Ruby dragon. He soon got to work sowing seeds of betrayal in each of the king's hearts. He whispered forbidden thoughts into their heads, thoughts of the power Sardior wielded and how it could be theirs. It was in these lies that jealousy and envy were born into the hearts of mortals. With the guidance of Nafir, the ten kings took up arms against their former lord and slew him while he slept. They then forged great artifacts out of his scales, weapons that allowed the mortal kings power over creation itself. This would come to be known as the Betrayal of Sardior, and it would kick off events that led to the Sundering of the Sands, and By'ham'ahn's decree that no Shorik-Kou may ever become a king again.   Sardior's symbol is that of his ruby palace, backdropped against a full moon. Despite his demise, many still worship Sardior in Orsbir, reaching out to him in the hopes of garnering some of his vast wisdom.
