Qa'zar

Qa'zar lies along the Gilded Coast, between Nimerene in the north to the Island city of Atohs to the south. Qa'zar is best known for its grand harbor, lined day and night with fishing vessels from all around the coast. Owing much of this fame to its position directly on a cape facing the Cor'realt sea, many ships a day travel far out into the blue in search of fresh seafood to supply the city with.   Most of the houses in Qa'zar are made from brick and are fitted with gold and turquoise tile, giving the city its vibrant and glistening architecture. Much like the other cities in the desert, the people here have made good use out of linens and tents to keep the harsh sunlight off of the streets, and this only adds to the color that this city bleeds out of every street.    Many adventurers flock to the city in the hopes of finding work with the Seafarer's Guild. It is said they pay notoriously well for both seasoned sailors and hardened mercenaries to join their crews and help map the many uncharted islands that lie beyond the known world. Which (besides managing fishing charters) is the guild's primary objective.
The Golden Pharaoh Satyavahn the 2nd currently rules over Qa'zar. He wears a cowl that resembles Ndidi's face with the four arms reaching from it. Satyavahn the 1st was a successful ships captain with many years of experience, however his son is none of these things. Inheriting his throne simply by blood ties to the great seafarer, many believe his rule is unjust. It does not help that many conspiracies have been formulated about the second Pharaoh. When Satyavahn the 1st died, there was no ceremony, no funeral, no evidence. Many people believe that the current pharaoh had something to do with his father's demise, and some even believe he murdered his father himself.
Cor'realt pirates have long been a thorn in Qa'sar's side, but Satyavahn the 1st had always kept them in check. With his son now on the throne the pressure on the ocean marauders has lessened, allowing them to once more become a pest to all those on the sea.    Many of the other cities bid that the young pharaoh do something about the problem, but every attempt he makes seems to fail.
