Paratagoyya

Paratagoyya lies deep within the jungle, away from any other civilization. Up above sea-level on a ridge, the city looks down upon the rest of the rain forest from its perch. The city has many old traditions far separated from the rest of the Gilded Coast, one being their unique architecture. Those who live in Paratagoyya reside within clay huts with thatch roofs, while daily worship of Kiymet takes place in large ziggurats that rise up through the canopy of leaves. Long ago the city used to spread throughout the jungle, but time has left it the last of its kind. 
Tzulticaj is the Golden Pharaoh of Paratagoyya, and wears the golden cowl of the jaguar.

Many ruins litter the jungle around the city, hidden just out of view by vines and trees. But amidst these wonders also lie dangers, for many creatures have been allowed to evolve in these forests unperturbed by the outside world, and even within such ruins old haunts may not yet be at rest.
