Marut

Unlike the other deities of Orsbir, Marut was created by By'ham'ahn after the sundering of the sands. Once the Vohd'ahr had seen the treachery that mortals had the potential to commit, he crafted a great construct to keep an eye on his children in his absence. This construct would become Marut, the ever vigilant. With the eye of a cyclops Marut could witness all, and hunt down those who would do great evil. He would become known as a god of law and punishment, and is told as a cautionary tale to always uphold your virtues.    Many prison houses are decorated with his symbol, an eye with a scale in the iris.
Marut has many disciples in Orsbir known as Arbiters. These mortals have studied law and justice within the temples of Marut and By'ham'ahn, and act as the jury in court trials. The god also has celestial servants of his own, known as Prime Adjudicators. These celestial constructs are designed after Marut, and serve as his deployable soldiers when a mortal must be held responsible for their actions. It is said that it is impossible to lie to such angels, or to Marut.
