Jor'Sol

While the Gilded Coast has no capitol, one city stands above the rest when it comes to political power and wealth. That city is Jor'Sol, the city of gold. Nestled on the coast of the Akhdar Dankana, Jor'Sol has immediate access to all major resources, such as fuel from the jungle, wood for construction, and good trade routes by way of water for trade with the rest of the coast. The wealth of the city isn't kept secret either, every wall in the city is plastered with gold with beautifully dyed purple roofs. This has given the city an incredibly distinct look, and one that is revered throughout the lands.    While it may not be an equal to the bazaar in Nimerene, Jor'Sol is home to the second largest open market in the Gilded Coast, which has a whole district in the city dedicated to it.    Jor'Sol's patron is Arafii, the goddess of the sun and moon. However it is only when she is awake (when she is the sun) that those in Jor'Sol worship her. The light she shines upon the golden columns of the city is said to bring great wealth and fortune, and so far there has been no reason to doubt that.   Holding the Golden Cown of the sun is Pharaoh Pavhak Bhansali, well venerated even amongst others of his own standing, owing much of his fame to his years spent as a gladiator. In his time as a showman he went unparalleled, and happily retired to pursue his present occupation: Politics and philosophy.  It is no secret that he keeps well in shape, even in his older years. In his belief a strong body leads to a strong mind.
An old legend tells of a great dragon laying waste to the city to claim all the gold there. It was a band of brave demigods led by Arafii that eventually slew the fell beast, and brought back all wealth to the city to prosper forever more.
