Enu'ahna

Enu'ahna is the goddess of all beasts and wildlife, as well as the hunt. She is the sister of Enu'mehka and the two go hand in hand in many scriptures. She is often shown as having the body of a mortal, the head of a hyena, and the tail of a scorpion. It was her who first taught the elves how to hunt, and warned them of predators. For all who must survive are equal in Enu'ahna's eyes.    Those who worship this goddess primarily ask her for guidance in finding enough food in the harsh desert, and to keep them and their families safe from the dangerous beasts that roam the land. Her primary symbol is that of a hyena's head with a mouse in it's mouth.
Enu'ahna is widely worshipped by the gnoll tribes in Anydros, as they are natural born hunters. It is common tradition among them to pray to the goddess before every nightly hunt. Unlike other traditions of Orsbir, the gnolls believe it is Enu'ahna that ferries their souls to the afterlife. This has led to the common practice of consuming their own dead, as it is the circle of life dictated by the goddess. In this process Enu'ahna herself is said to attend the feast and once the consumption is done the soul is free to leave with her.   After great battles gnolls will gather up all that had died on the battlefield and have a great feast in order to allow all those who faught that day to find peace.
