this is a world in which magic is as natural as drawing breath, that learning magic is something everyone can do, and can even be seen as a pass time or a hobby. people have come up with various spells for various things, with the fantastical species of the world working together (mostly) in peace.   one of the most dangerous parts of this world are dragons, seen as only a few steps below gods themselves, with the fire birds phoenixes right above them. the world has recently come fresh from a world ending conflict, a Dragon civil war that spilled out into the realm of people. this war has left the people ravaged, and people seeking less conflict as a result, but other forces linger, wanting to reignite the conflict for their own gain
