Bonding [working title]

Bonding is a sacred and ancient Ritual, present in almost all regions of Oro [working title]. 
It binds the spirit of an animal to that of a human. Both become stronger and gain the powers, talents and certain traits of the other. No Bonding is alike. It depends on the human, the animal and how strong the relationship of the two was before the Ritual. The latter is not commonly known across the lands. Probably a translation error.
After the Ritual the former Human is now known as a Knight [insert cooler Name here]. I haven't come up for a new name for the Animal just yet, but just you wait! (maybe keep it simple and call it "Beast" or something). The Knight might choose a knew name for himself after the ceremony. It is not required though and also not very common, as it is believed to be terribly vain to choose a name before the knight is given one for his actions and good deeds in the realm.
